SATURDAY CLASSES CANCELED

Old Dominion University officials have canceled Saturday classes in anticipation of the rain, winds and tidal flooding expected from Tropical Storm Hanna.

The storm is projected to move across the Hampton Roads region around mid-day Saturday, brining heavy downpours, thunderstorms, winds of 40-60 mph, and minor tidal flooding at high tide.

The university’s residence halls will remain open for students.  Saturday brunch will be served in the lobbies of all residence halls with mandatory meal programs so that students do not have to go out in the storm.  The dining center at Cafe 1201 will open at 4 p.m. for dinner service.

Students residing at the Sheraton Hotel will be provided brunch and dinner at the hotel.

Students and faculty/staff who normally park in the areas around Rogers and Gresham Halls are being asked to move their vehicles to one of the university’s parking garages by noon Friday to avoid damage from likely flooding of those parking lots.

I’ve decided that I got a little ahead of myself when i started blogging and overextended myself. I started to many blogs to keep track of and some of them got little to no effort. I know I haven’t posted in a long while, I’ve been very busy with transferring schools and what not. But now I’m basically all settled in and ready to get back to work. I have been keeping up with Technology Current, but unfortunately traffic has been cut n half lately. Also I had been smart priced again, not that it matters cuz I’m not getting any clicks anyway… It’d kind of depressing. I was thinking about adding an adsense block or two to this blog, still not sure if it’s worth it yet. Although for some reason this blog jumped up to 41 visitors yesterday, after averaging 1-3 since its creation, probably just a fluke though. Anyway, even tho I’m extremely frustrated with my traffic and readership I will press on. If your reading this thanks lol.

In other finance news, since I can;t seem to make any money online lol, i got a job at a local golf course in Suffolk Va, It would be amazing if eventually my online income could replace my new job, but the golf course pays way more than 10 cents a day!!!

Well this is my “Hello World” post… So I guess I’m here to let the world know that JulianHooks.com exists!

This is my 3 serious blog and hopefully turns out well. My ultimate goal to to be interesting enough to grab/attract a nice blog readership. I have always thought that my life was definitely interesting enough to make a movie or television show about, so hopefully it will be interesting enough to read about also.

Another goal is to have my readers share similar stories and events about their lives in the form of comments or even guest posts! The most amazing blogs are the ones where the readers interact with each other. Hopefully I have the skills required to grow this blog into a humongous online community where people can come to laugh, cry, or just be entertained. basically an online journal of my success’ and failures at making money online.
